While data and analytics are technical in nature, this is a business program. Course discussions and assignments emphasize application in business, both through case studies and consulting opportunities. These course activities, along with extracurricular activities and internships, will ensure your comfort in analyzing and interpreting data, and using your findings to recommend a strategic course for the enterprise.

Many consider business analytics to be a discipline for the high-tech industry, but data analysts, consultants, scientists and engineers are highly sought in marketing, consumer products and manufacturing, media and communications, finance, professional services, and government and nonprofit, as well. The job market for business professionals who can bring analytical rigor to their work is strong and projected to continue growing as industry looks to people who can pair flexible, adaptable technical skills with business depth.
