She has published 60 journal articles and book chapters in outlets Journal of Applied Psychology and The Academy of Management Journal and has received $3,800,000 in external grant funding. Dr. Johnson is member of the MG 100 Coaches, was selected for the 2020 Thinkers50 Radar List, and is the author of the Harper Collins book, Inclusify: Harnessing the power of uniqueness and belonging to build innovative teams. She has presented her work at over 170 meetings around the world including at the White House for a 2016 summit on diversity in corporate America.

Dr. DiStefano has seen the university from nearly every perspective as a parent, donor, professor, dean, provost and chancellor.

Dr. DiStefano is a lifelong educator. Born and raised in the diverse working-class steel and coal town of Steubenville, Ohio, he began his education career as a high school English teacher near his hometown. A first-generation college student, he knows first-hand the benefit of education and opportunity.

He earned his doctorate in humanities education from The Ohio State University.

As chancellor, Dr. DiStefano works closely with students, faculty, staff, alumni and donors as well as government, industry, business and community leaders in extending ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder’s legacy as a preeminent national comprehensive research university.

His strategic imperatives for the campus are to develop tomorrow’s leaders, be the top university for innovation and to positively impact humanity. The chancellor serves as the Quigg and Virginia S. Newton Endowed Chair in Leadership, overseeing ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder’s prestigious leadership programs. The program brings national and world leaders to campus to interact with students and advise them on leadership paths.

He serves on the Boulder Community Health Board of Directors and formerly served on the NCAA Board of Governors and NCAA Division I Board of Directors, among other local and national organizations.

He is a co-founder of ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ's Center for African and African American Studies (CAAAS), opened in 2022. Post graduation, he joined a high growth AR startup leading Business Development & Partnerships, collaborating with figures like Director Michael Bay, F1's Lewis Hamilton, Snoop Dogg, and Elton John.

During her time at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder, Kavya graduated summa cum laude in Political Science, focusing her research on analyzing sex trafficking patterns across states in India through understanding the current socioeconomic, legal, and cultural norms that affect women and girls in India today. Kavya also served as ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ's first female Student Body President of South Asian descent, a role in which she served on search committees for campus leaders alongside ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ administrators, established and fundraised for a fund dedicated to survivors of sexual assault on campus, and helped found one of the nation's first community oversight review boards as part of the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ police department. On campus, Kavya also served as a Co-President for Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Honors Political Science Honors Society, an Associate Justice for ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Student Government, and held two chair positions on the Herd Leadership Council, the student arm of the Alumni Association. Kavya is a two-time Rhodes Scholarship finalist and was awarded the Most Outstanding Undergraduate Award for the College of Arts and Sciences at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder. Currently, Kavya works as a paralegal for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York and intends to pursue a career in law. In her free time, Kavya enjoys hiking, participating in Indian classical dance, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.
