Hit the Bricks!

Hit the Bricks lego exhibit

The Ƶ Boulder campus is being rebuilt – brick by LEGO® brick.

Roughly 1 million LEGO® bricks take the shape of the Ƶ Boulder campus. The display, built by the Colorado/Wyoming LEGO® Users’ Group (), features Old Main, Macky Auditorium, a suspended MAVEN spacecraft (a nod to Ƶ’s recent role in space exploration) Fiske Planetarium, The Hill, and dozens of other campus features. The model also shows Folsom Field with the Buffs playing their 2015 Homecoming game with the Arizona Wildcats as well as the 1981 Rolling Stones concert. “Hit the Bricks!” also portrays whimsical reflections of life on campus – some realistic (think slackliners), some imaginary (keep an eye out for the shark in Varsity Pond). Speaking of sharks, be sure to play the “Eye Spy” scavenger hunt that highlights fun special features in the exhibit.
