AISES National
The mission of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) is to substantially increase the representation of American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, First Nations and other Indigenous peoples of North America in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) studies and careers.
Membership is not required to be a part of ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ AISES, but it is strongly encourged since it provides access to , exclusive AISES events/webinars, internships, mentorships, and more. Registration fee is free for college students.
The Annual AISES National Conference is a unique, three-day event focusing on educational, professional, and workforce development for Indigenous peoples of North America and the Pacific Islands in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) studies and careers. Attendees include Indigenous high school and college students, educators, and professionals. The conference also includes the LARGEST college and career fair in the U.S. for Indigenous students and professionals! Exhibitors at the College and Career fair represent a diverse range of corporations, educational institutions, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, Tribes, and Indigenous-owned businesses.
The ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ AISES chapter is a part of all Region 3 chapters in the country. Each spring, chapters from each region gather into their own conference to share information, network with presenters and other attendees, and form partnerships. Students who attend this conference have access to a variety of seminars, poster presentations, discussion groups, workshops, and even engineering competitions. It's a great time to share information with one another and get to know other Indingeous STEM people in your area! Whether or not you attend the National Conference, this is an opportunity for everyone to come together.
