2021–2022 Cohort Creations

The first-ever cohort of the CHANGE Collective participated in 15 personal/professional development sessions as a team, submitted 40 assignments to earn their microcredential (mostly reflections on themselves and their experiences with the focal topics), and collectively put on 3 public events over the course of the 2021–2022 academic year.

The cohort of students, alongside Program Coordinator Rebecca Coon, hosted a public showcase to share their experiences with this program. Coon shares the foundations and goals of the program, and each student shares stories about where they’ve come from, future directions they plan on exploring, and how the CHANGE Collective program has influenced them and their desired pathways.

Based off of feedback from the community brainstorm they facilitated, CHANGE Collective students invited community members to share some of the ways in which they connect to community, nature, and themselves in support of sustainable futures.

Slideshow presentation
The CHANGE Collective students facilitated a community brainstorm in the fall of 2021 to engage community members in discussions and ideation around aspects of sustainable futures and how museums can support movement to those desired futures. To provide a foundation upon which to ideate, students created this presentation to share background information about the history of museums, the general topic of sustainable futures, and the current moment museums find themselves in.

Over the year, students selected and critiqued inspiring resources and experiences that they would recommend to other changemakers including books, articles, podcasts, TED talks, and visits to other museums.
