Giving in Action
- Each year, move-out produces tons of unwanted items headed for the landfill as students pack up to return home for the summer. ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder implemented a solution to reduce waste and promote sustainability and generosity. Instead of trashing items, students participated in the Give & Go Donation Drive.
- Register to join for an incredible ride on Sunday, Sept. 10, through Boulder County and help continue the legacy of the last 20 years supporting the Buffalo Bicycle Classic Scholarship Fund.
- Sororities at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder raised more than $290,000 for various causes as part of their philanthropy efforts this academic year. Chapters in the College Panhellenic Council raise money and awareness for their dedicated causes by holding various philanthropy events each semester.
- ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder alumnus Jeremy May announced a three-pronged gift to advance mindful leadership and innovation through the Crown Institute and Leeds School of Business.
- Alumnus, entrepreneur and ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder donor Tandean Rustandy has given $5 million to create the Tandean Rustandy Endowed Deanship at the Leeds School of Business—the first named deanship on campus.
- Six life science scholars will embark on their PhD studies and contribute their unique cultural experiences to the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder campus this fall through a nearly $1.9 million gift to the university from the Shurl and Kay Curci Foundation.
- John W. Comerford, who discovered the power of film at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder, arranges major gift to its Stan Brakhage Moving Image Art Forum and Studies Collection.
- Four basketball games this week are slated to be gift card collection sites, organized by ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Athletics. Needed are cards for fire victims to shop at Front Range grocery stores, department stores and local restaurants. Please ensure the value of the card is visible on the card.
- University Libraries has launched a new fund to support a growing collection of materials focused on Chicanx and Latinx communities on campus and beyond. The endowment was made possible by a generous donation by EBSCO Information Services.
- Alumnus Tandean Rustandy has given more than $10 million to ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder, including support for the new $45 million Rustandy Building. At a ribbon-cutting Sunday, Rustandy surprised attendees with news of another $1.25 million gift.
