Meet the Officers

Nadia Jorgenson
 President - Nadia Jorgenson

Hello! My name is Nadia and I am the current president of the ISPE student chapter at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ and an undergraduate senior in   the Chemical and Biological Engineering program. I joined ISPE to build my professional network and explore what options   are available to me in industry. The educational events, panels, and networking experiences have been invaluable to my   career development, as well as the wonderful connections I have made. My primary goal is to bridge the divide between   academia and industry for students interested in that path!

Daniel Saiz
Vice President - Daniel Saiz

Hello! My name is Daniel Saiz and I am a 5th year senior studying Chemical and Biological Engineering. I joined ISPE because of all of the various opportunities that the club offers. These opportunities include facility tours, guest speakers, and many internships. I hope to obtain a job in the medical/pharmaceutical engineering field when I graduate. In my free time I like to hike, camp, ski, play soccer and frisbee. I am looking forward to this year and all of the opportunities that it holds.

Hi there! I am a junior studying Chemical and Biological Engineering. I enjoy seeing the different applications of this study upon   the pharmaceutical industry and its relations to the medical field. In my free time, I enjoy baking, hiking, kayaking, travelling, and   learning new skills. I’m looking forward to a great year in ISPE with lots of speakers, tours, events with the professional Rocky   Mountain ISPE chapter, and beyond!

Erika Kissler
Secretary - Erika Kissler

Erika is the current Secretary and past President of ISPE at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ. She is finishing up her last year of her undergraduate in Engineering Plus and has worked as an intern in the pharmaceutical industry for over a year because of her ISPE connections. ISPE has allowed Erika to connect and network with hundreds of industry professionals who have not only helped her to find a career as a mechanical engineer, but also who have helped her gain a better understanding of the industry as a whole. Upon graduation, she will continue to be a part of ISPE as a Young Professional under the Rocky Mountain Chapter.

Justin Berdahl

Hello! My name is Justin Berdahl and I am a senior working towards a degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering and a minor in Biomedical Engineering. I This will be my third year being a member of ISPE. Being a member of this club has taught me about the pharmaceutical industry and helped me connect with professionals in the industry. This club has provided opportunities for networking and commonalities during interviews. Outside of ISPE, I enjoy rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, and going on adventures. I am excited to contribute to the ISPE club here at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ as the new Social Media Officer!

Taylor Jonas
Event Coordinator - Taylor Jonas

My name is Taylor and I’m a senior chemical and biological engineering student. I enjoy being involved in the ISPE chapter at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder because it gives me the opportunity to connect with other students and professionals engaged in the pharmaceutical industry. I previously attained a degree in Neuroscience and gained experience in research and the medical field before deciding to pursue engineering at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ. When I'm not drawing McCabe-Thiele diagrams you can find me skydiving, sailing and playing quidditch. I’m eager to increase student engagement this year and share the connections and benefits this organization provides.

Jesus Olivas
My name is Jesus Olivas I am a 5th year senior finishing up my Chemical and Biological Engineering degree. I joined ISPE to get a glimpse into the real world of engineering. I’ve had multiple internships and worked with many people, and made many friends. I had the opportunity to work and collaborate with all kinds of engineers at Jeppesen. When I am not busy studying for exams you can find me 100 feet up rock climb, or on my bike downhill mountain biking, or on the slopes snowboarding. I am eager to be apart of ISPE and help others  gain a foothold in chemical engineering.
