Personal Information

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder will not verify personal information (e.g., date of birth, address, Social Security number, citizenship).

If you're an investigator, employer, sponsor or other third party who needs to verify a student's enrollment or degree, order an official transcript or access student data reports or repositories, please follow the instructions below.

Enrollment & Degree Verifications

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder has authorized the  (NSC) to act as its agent for purposes of third-party enrollment and degree verification. The NSC can verify degrees and enrollment for those students who have not placed a privacy block on their academic record.

Submissions must include the student's name when enrolled, Social Security number or student ID, date of birth and University of Colorado campus attended. If you indicate the wrong campus, your request may be denied.

Note: We are unable to verify degrees for upcoming or recent graduates before degrees post to transcripts (see the graduation calendar for specific dates). Any requests submitted prior to this date will receive verification of dates of attendance only, and a new request will be required to verify the graduate's degree.

Confirming Authenticity

To confirm an enrollment verification is official, one of the following must true:

  • You’ve received a signed verification from verifications@colorado.edu via DocuSign and the signature states that nothing has been changed. To verify this, open the file in Adobe and click on "Signatures." The following message should display: “Document has not been modified since this signature was applied.â€
  • You’ve requested it directly through the National Student Clearinghouse.

If you have concerns about an enrollment verification, degree verification, transcript or diploma, please contact registrar@colorado.edu with a scanned copy of the document. We can verify directory information without the prior consent of a student and if the document is official. Non-directory information will required prior consent.

Official Transcripts (Third-Party Orders)

Third parties (e.g., investigators, parents, guardians, employers) may order official ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ transcripts for $15 per transcript by completing the steps below:

  1. Obtain a signed transcript release from the student.
  2. Create an online account through .
  3. When completing the online transcript order, be sure to attach the signed transcript release form.  

In three to five business days, you'll receive a digitally signed electronic PDF transcript that includes the student's academic history from all four ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ campuses.

Student Data Reports & Repositories

The 1996 Solomon Amendment provides for the Secretary of Defense to deny federal funding to institutions of higher learning if they prohibit or prevent ROTC or military recruitment on campus.

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder no longer provides student information to external third parties for solicitation purposes.
