Welcome to the Ice Rink!
The only Ice Rink in Boulder, this facility offers unique opportunities for skating get togethers, from broomball and hockey to group skate parties. To use the rink, you must have a membership to the Rec Center. Please visit our membership page for more information.
Rink Schedule

Groups of 10 or more will not be able to use this area without a reservation. To schedule a reservation, please contact RecRequest@colorado.edu
Rent the Rink
Team practices, birthday or group parties, and team meetings the ice arena has great space available for your needs. Keep these gathering spots in mind for your next event!

Rec Skate Hours
Recreational skating hours are open times for students, members of the Recreation Center, and their guests to participate in an open skating session. Check the for rec skate times.
Equipment Rentals
Skates: $3/day; figure and hockey skates, kids to adult sizes
Hockey Equipment: $4/day; goalie equipment available at same price

Stick and Puck
Stick and Puck is a practice time for shooting and skating skills. Participants must have a full face shield helmet, gloves and stick. Time is limited to shooting only. Sorry, no hockey games are allowed. Participants must be 16 years of age. Check the to see Stick and Puck times.
Drop-In Hockey
Drop-in hockey is pick-up, no-check hockey. A helmet with full face shield, gloves, shin guards, skates, and long pants are required to play drop-in. Participants must be 16 years of age. Check the for drop-in hockey times.
Figure Skating
These sessions are designed for students, members of the Recreation Center, and their guests to perform jumps, spins, footwork, and other skating moves to music. We hope to accommodate singles, pairs, ice dancing, and synchronize skaters during these sessions. First right-of-way should be given to a skater performing their program to music. Second right-of-way should be given to skaters practicing skill sets. Must be 16 years of age to participate. Check the for figure skating times.
Skate Conditioning Skills and Drills
The goal of these semester long hockey skills and drills skating sessions are to provide students a fun opportunity for semester long fitness while also learning how to comprehensively play the game of hockey. The scope of these Monday and Wednesday morning classes will be semester long, we will teach hockey skills comprehensively, from basic skating to full ice scrimmages. We will assume no prior skating or hockey experience, and will be able to adjust sessions based on varying skill levels. It will be assumed that for students to take full advantage of their time they will attend most sessions. Hockey skills will be phased in over the course of the semester, following USA Hockey and Hockey Canada materials provided online
