Roaring Fork and Summit County Precollegiate Programs
In 2003, the Office of Precollege Outreach and Engagement partnered with the Roaring Fork Valley School District, the Aspen Community Foundation and Colorado Mountain College to create the first rural precollegiate partnership program. The Roaring Fork Pre Collegiate Program is run by the school district, where program directors have developed comprehensive precollege prep programs similar to ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder's precollege outreach programs.
In 2009, the Summit County School District invested in their own precollegiate program, modeled after Roaring Fork Valley's program and funded through the Summit Foundation. The Office of Precollege Outreach and Engagement supported the creation of this program.
As a program partner, ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder sponsors a two-week summer residential experience for these programs' rising seniors who:
- Participate in rigorous courses
- Experience life in a residence hall
- Explore post-secondary opportunities
- Complete college applications
- Apply for scholarships
