On average, Dr. Arch seeks 1 new graduate student per yearÌýwhose interestsÌýalign with thoseÌýexplored in the Arch lab - see our Research page for these areas.
Undergraduate
If you are an undergraduate student interested in working in the lab, you can participate as a part of our team in a variety of capacities, including: completing Independent Study (academic credit), UROP/SURF undergraduate fellowships, honors thesis or working as a volunteer undergraduate Research Assistant (RA). Typically, students start as a volunteer RA and those with a demonstrated track record of reliable, high quality work in the lab may apply for options such as independent study or an honors thesis.
Depending on experience, RA responsibilities typically include working closely with the Arch lab research team, running in-lab experiments or assisting in procedures for studies, coding and entering data, and attending lab meetings.
Undergraduate students must be willing to commit to 5-10 hours per week in-person for a minimum of two semesters, and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5
While we don't currently have any open positions, our needs fluctuate over time so weÌýencourage you to check back in the future if you’re still interested. You can email archlab@colorado.edu to be put in touch with a Research Coordinator.
Volunteer
If you are not a ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ student but would like to join the lab you may be able to join as a volunteer Research Assistant (RA). We are especially interested in volunteer RAs who are looking for research experience in clinical psychology and have a particular interest in anxiety disorders, acceptance-based behavioral interventions and/or the psychological impact of serious disease. Post-bacs are encouraged to apply.ÌýWe do not typically have any paid RA positions available; however, we often have volunteer RA opportunities available for qualified applicants.
Volunteers must be willing to commit to working a minimum of 1 year.Ìý
