Enrollment in IPHY 3010 (Teaching in Integrative Physiology)

Contact the instructor well in advance, typically early in the semester before you wish to teach. Block off the class period in your schedule and be prepared to attend a required TA review meeting in addition to the class. Once approved, provide your Student ID Number and ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ email address to the instructor, who will forward the information to the office staff. After the office staff receives your information, they will enroll you in IPHY 3010 and send a confirmation email. This email will remind you of any tuition/course fees and request that you verify your enrollment.

Learning Assistant

Consider joining the Learning Assistant Program to gain teaching experience by helping with science and/or math courses on the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ campus. For more details, visit /program/learningassistant/.

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Teach

If you're interested in teaching science at the high school or middle school level, the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Teach program is ideal. The IPHY major is excellent preparation for this path. Visit for more information and check out teaching licensure details at /education/academics/teacher-licensure/secondary-science.

Tutoring

Tutors are often needed, especially for larger IPHY courses. If you have course experience, tutoring can help a fellow student while enhancing your teaching skills. For more details, see /iphy/undergrad/tutoring-iphy-courses.
