The Colorado Shared Instrumentation in Nanofabrication and Characterization (COSINC) is a multidisciplinary core research facility and service center based in Boulder, Colorado. We provide access to state-of-the-art equipment in the areas of micro-  and nano-fabrication, materials characterization and ISO 5 cleanroom facilities. We also offer expertise and advanced hands-on training in those areas to new and experienced researchers. As an open-access research facility on campus, COSINC serves the University of Colorado Boulder academic and research community as well as industry and governmental researchers in the state and beyond. The facility currently serves more than 370 users and 180 PIs, enabling funded sponsored projects of over $30 million in the last five years. Together, COSINC represents an investment of over $10 million.
