Our work in dialogue is grounded by commitments to:

• Attend to how power shows up in discursive spaces and to design dialogue experiences with
  power and positionality in mind.

• Attend to how all voices, particularly those from under-appreciated or marginalized
  backgrounds, can be equitably heard, recognized and respected.

• Advance critical learning about diversity, equity and inclusion issues through dialogue
  practices.

• Work to deepen relationships across social, cultural and power differences through dialogue
  experiences.

• Approach dialogue as a pedagogical practice that centers students’ and staff members’
  personal and collective agency.

• Approach dialogue as a pathway for collaboratively addressing organizational policies,
  processes, and practices, in order to advance intersectional equity.

• Continue learning and evolving as a program through critical research, learning, reflection and assessment of our practices.
