As we in CMCI prepare for another fall semester, I want to share some updates about our campus, as well as a few stories about our alumni, students and faculty.Ìý

CMCI recently celebrated the first cohort of students to complete Connections: CMCI Summer Academy, a week-long summer experience that gives high school students a preview of college life and introduces them to current students, staff and faculty.

Our summer reading list is full of new books by CMCI faculty scholars on topics including media and religion, technology and trauma, video activism and citizen-centered journalism.

Ready to make your mark? Alumni, parents and friends who want to support CMCI while also creating a personal legacy often choose to establish endowments with the University of Colorado Foundation.

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder CMCI students and faculty from four departments represented 16 divisions and interest groups during this year’s Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication conference.

The Center for Environmental Journalism is proud to welcome its 25th class of Ted Scripps Fellows, who will spend nine months at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder and CMCI working on long-term, in-depth journalistic projects and reflecting on critical questions.
