Temporary Faculty and Lecturers

Each semester the Mortenson Center in Global Engineering &ÌýResilience may seek Lecturers and Adjuncts to teach a variety of courses to engineers and technical professionals in the area of Global Engineering. These teaching roles are filled on an as-needed basis semester to semester.

Examples of courses that lecturers have taught in our program include:

  • CVEN 5838: Special Topics – Introduction to Development Economics for Engineers
  • CVEN 4969: Water and Sanitation in Developing Countries

Consideration Dates

Application materials must be submitted by the below dates each year for full consideration:

  • June 1st for Fall Semester
  • December 1st for Spring Semester
  • March 1st for Summer Semester

Minimum Requirements

Minimum requirements:

  • Graduate degree or relevant experience in the field being taught

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in field being taught, and
  • Professional experience in field being taught

Compensation

Compensation ranges from $1,000 - $16,744 per course, depending on the teaching assignment, number of credits, instructor qualifications, and what semester the course is being taught.
