Assembly
The General Assembly is comprised of elected and appointed representatives from the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder Faculty Senate*. Members also include campus liaisons representing ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder Retired Faculty Association, C.U. Student Government (¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵSG), Graduate and Professional Student Government (GPSG), ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder Staff Council, chairs of th Boulder college/school faculty councils, and an ex-officio from Academic Affairs. To see the full list of Assembly Liaisons see below. Guests to Assembly meetings are invited and will be announced by the Chair at the beginning of each meeting.
The Assembly meets from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month when class is in session during fall and spring semesters.
For AY 2024-2025 the BFA will resume in-person meetings at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Law in room 204. A Zoom option will be offered but we strongly encourage you to attend in-person as often as you are able. ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ parking permit holders will be able to park for free in Lot 470 during Assembly meetings. There is short term paid parking in Lot 415. EV charging is available and of course it's always great if you can walk, bike, or take public transport when able. The final meeting of the year on May 1, 2025 will be held in the Chancellor's Hall and Auditorium in the CASE building with a celebration of faculty with 50 Years of Service, officer elections, and a reception following.
Assembly meeting agendas are approved by the BFA Executive Committee the Monday prior to meetings and are emailed to Assembly members within one to two days prior to the monthly meeting. Electronic handouts and other items will be available in the General Assembly shared ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder Google folder. Representatives and liaisons will receive the General Assembly Meeting Summary the week following a meeting. The summary includes meeting handouts and links for agenda items. Meeting Minutes are emailed by the 25th of each month, unless otherwise noted.
