VAC Building Hours & Administration

Building Hours & Access

  • 7:00 AM-7:00 PM — The building is unlocked for access.
  • 7:00 PM-10:00 PM —CCure (cardswipe) access for students enrolled in classes including AAH students and centrally scheduled students with their Buffone Cards.
  • 24/7 building access for faculty, staff, grad students, and area-entered undergrads is allowed with a Buff OneCard
  • 24/7 building access for undergraduate students must be made through faculty or area tech.
  • Student employees will need to contact their supervisor for 24/7 building access.
  • During certain holidays and breaks, the building may be locked and accessible only to those with 24/7 building access using a Buff OneCard.

Administration Office Hours, located on the 3rd Floor:

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. Closed Saturday, and Sunday

Please plan ahead. Reserve equipment in advance through the online Patron Portal whenever possible. Access to equipment is based on course enrollment or other affiliations.

The Metal Shop is open to students working on coursework for current Art & Art History classes, as well as students doing work and research for the BFA and MFA programs. The shop is also open to faculty and staff for department projects, research, and developing coursework. Anyone working in the shop must take the general safety orientation before beginning work.

The Woodshop embraces methods of making influenced by both western and eastern philosophies to provide students with choices and possibilities as they explore technical and creative problem-solving. This valuable resource supports coursework across the Art and Art History curriculum. Whether students are fabricating sculptures or installations, laser cutting, 3D printing, making canvas stretchers, or building fine stringed instruments, staff members with professional expertise are available to train and mentor in planning, executing, and installing projects.

  2. You will receive an email informing the order is ready for pickup. 
  3. Payment is due at time of pickup - credit card only, card must be present, no Amex, cash, or checks.
