- Rudy Betancourt has been named the new director of the College of Music’s long-running Artist Series, which has brought the finest jazz, classical, world music and dance performers to town for more than eight decades.
- Moore is the longest continuously serving provost among AAU institutions and will serve until a successor takes office.
- Andrew “Metz” Metzroth can’t contain his joy when he talks about his new job as executive director of Ƶ Presents—a role he says he’s long worked toward.
- Deming Associate Dean for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Wil Srubar—the first to hold the position—will focus on fostering innovation by offering education, mentorship and resources to faculty, postdocs and graduate students to drive the commercialization of intellectual property.
- The Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics, Ƶ Boulder’s longest-established and highest-budget research institute, has appointed Scott Tucker as its new director of engineering. Tucker brings more than two decades of engineering and project management experience to the role.
- Doreen Jokerst has accepted a new position as chief of police for the city of Overland Park, Kansas. There will be no disruption to public safety services at Ƶ Boulder during Jokerst's transition.
- Katherine Siegel, a new CIRES fellow, uses data science and qualitative methods to understand global change processes.
- Thomas Andrews, professor of history, has been appointed the faculty director of the Center of the American West. His appointment became effective in July.
- The Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics has named Lynda Duran associate director for diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility.
- Massimo Ruzzene, vice chancellor for research and innovation, will begin reporting directly to Chancellor Justin Schwartz, effective Aug. 30. Ruzzene currently reports to Provost Russell Moore.
