Look out for those around you and make sure your friends, sisters, brothers, colleagues and fellow students get home safely. It is time to act. It ends with us.

Domestic violence, also known as intimate partner abuse, is best understood as a pattern of abusive behaviors–including physical, sexual, and psychological abuse as well as economic coercion–used by one intimate partner against another to gain, maintain, or regain power and control in the relationship. If you are concerned about a relationship you are in or have been, or if you are concerned about a friend’s relationship please contact ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ’s Office of Victim Assistance.

Texas college system sends text alerts to some ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder affiliates

After receiving several reports of a non-¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ text alert received by some affiliates yesterday, campus officials began an investigation with the vendor that provides our text alert system, RAVE Mobile Safety. Searches in social media further revealed that the same message was being received by affiliates at many universities across the United States.

Fall 2016 ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder Alerts test is Oct. 5

The campus will conduct a test of the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder Alerts system on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at noon to raise awareness of how the campus community will be notified in case of a campus emergency. The test will include text messages, emails, social media and website announcements. Annual testing of emergency notification systems is required by the Clery Act, a federal law.

Data collected by the city of Boulder's transportation division shows that nearly half of all collisions within the city occur at intersections, and that crosswalks are the most common locations for collisions between motor vehicles and bicyclists or pedestrians.

Fall 'Heads Up Boulder' safety campaign kicks off Sept. 26

Beginning on Monday, Sept. 26, police from the City of Boulder and the University of Colorado Boulder will step up enforcement of the city’s traffic laws in and around several of Boulder’s top locations for motor vehicle collisions involving a bicyclist or pedestrian as part of the Heads Up Boulder crosswalk safety campaign.
