This Oct 14 and 15, join the Department of Critical Media Practices for the first Colloquium on Critical Media Practice. Through workshops, screenings, presentations, and panel discussions, this colloquium will investigate the increasing overlap between art, engagement and nonfiction in the current technological landscape.

Highlights of Ƶ Boulder's 102nd Homecoming include the football team and marching band “stampeding” along Pearl Street as part of the Homecoming Parade and Football Pep Rally Friday evening. Other traditions include the Alumni Awards Ceremony Thursday and, of course, this year’s Homecoming football game vs. Arizona State University on Saturday.

A Ƶ Boulder team will address Latino community involvement in green economies, which aim to reduce environmental impact and emphasize sustainable development, at the RISE Colorado Latino Business Conference in Longmont on Friday, Oct. 14. The event is free and open to the public.

R&B artist Gallant will headline this year's Homecoming concert on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 8 p.m. in the Glenn Miller Ballroom. The concert is just one of many events and activities happening during Homecoming week. Tickets will be $5 for Ƶ students and $10 for the public.

Over 52 studio doors will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Visual Arts Complex, as part of the Boulder Open Studios Program. Engaged Scientist lecture and workshop series launches Oct. 20

Focused on connecting scientists and communities, the Ƶ Boulder Engaged Scientist Series will begin with the director of Thriving Earth Exchange at the American Geophysical Union, Raj Panda. This talk and the associated workshop for graduate students will begin a series of trainings to equip scientists with community engagement skills.
