Canceled concrete canoe competition doesn’t dampen students’ enthusiasm

This year, 15 Ƶ Boulder civil and architectural engineering students spent more than 60 hours constructing a concrete canoe. Despite the open water races being canceled due to cold temperatures, Ƶ Boulder students did well in other ASCE competitions, taking second place in both the non-technical paper and innovation challenge and third place in both the technical paper and surveying competitions.

Ƶ Heritage Center to temporarily close

Ahead of preservation efforts for Old Main, the Ƶ Heritage Center, which is housed on the third floor of Old Main, will close on June 1 for the relocation of artifacts. The anticipated re-opening of the Heritage Center is slated for 2026, the university’s sesquicentennial year.
