At a time when 44 percent of hiring managers say recent college graduates lack leadership skills, ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder is sharpening its focus on leadership with a thriving new minor and speaker series that kicks off next month.

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder’s Media Archaeology Lab, founded by Lori Emerson in 2009, enables hands-on teaching, research and artistic practice using computers and other media from decades past.​

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder alumna Alexis Martin Woodall says film studies program empowered her to craft compelling stories and produce Emmy-winning content, such as "The People v. O.J.​ Simpson: American Crime Story."

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ's Learning Technology Consultants are hosting a series of Desire2Learn (D2L) workshops with advanced drop-in hours to help make preparing for spring courses a little bit easier.

CIRES/NOAA researcher Anne Perring studies air quality as well as atmospheric particles and climate.

The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (EROP) funds hundreds of students who produce new knowledge and creative work in partnership with ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ's world-class faculty each year. UROP is now accepting grant applications from students for projects planned during summer 2017 and/or academic year 2017-18.

Thanks to longtime donor Ann Nichols, senior classics major Meghan Dulsky was awarded two scholarships to fund her upcoming study-abroad adventure. Dulsky was one of many students recognized at the scholarship celebration event, where students shared achievements with donors and staff.

Described as one of the leading critics of recent American foreign policy, Robert G. Kaufman has been named the 2017-18 Visiting Scholar in Conservative Thought and Policy at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder.

Lindsey Nichols grew up walking her pigs so they developed muscles for 4-H Club competitions. Ethan Gonzales dabbles in freestyle rapping. Meet Ethan and Lindsey and two other students whose love of academics, service and athletics led to winning the Justice Byron R. and Marion S. White Memorial Scholarship.

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder’s student news site, ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Independent (¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵI), is one of four student news sites to receive the 2016 Online Pacemaker award from the Associated Collegiate Press. "This award is a huge testament to how hard this staff works on a daily basis," says ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵI Editor-in-Chief Xandra McMahon.
