This week brings to campus several Valentine’s Day events, a grad student coffee hour, the Three Minute Thesis final competition, JamFest 2025 and more.

Monday, Feb. 10

2–3 p.m.UMC, North Dining Area
Celebrate Valentine’s Day on your way to class! Stop by to enjoy some sweet treats and learn about different campus organizations.

3–4 p.m.C4C N238
Join this workshop to learn how wellness contributes to academic success. Students will walk away from this session with a better understanding of what contributes to their wellness, and some activities to help maintain wellness during times of stress.

4–5 p.m.C4C S350
Want a great resume and attention-getting cover letter to catch the eye of a future employer? Join this workshop to review effective strategies that highlight your skills and experiences in your application materials.

7–9 p.m.The Connection
Come down to The Connection for trivia! Teams and individuals are welcome. Free to enter; sign-up starts at 6 p.m. at The Connection front desk. Prizes for top finishers!

Wednesday, Feb. 12

Make your own slime, aromatherapy roll-on and stress balls as part of our monthly Stress Less event. Snacks and supplies included.

Visit the C4C Dining Center to enjoy a specially curated menu from across the Diaspora, community and entertainment!

Show off your skills at our Super Smash Bros tournament, hosted by Ƶ Gaming and The Connection! Sign-up starts at 4 p.m. at The Connection front desk.

5:30–7:30 p.m.Eaton Humanities, 1B80
Join the Environmental Center for a viewing of “Chasing Ice” by Jeff Orlowski. The movie follows local Boulder photographer James Balog on his journey to capture the rapid decline of glaciers in the Arctic using time-lapse photography. Free pizza during the movie will be followed by an AMA (ask me anything) with a climate scientist!

Thursday, Feb. 13

2 p.m.Kittredge Central
The mobile food pantry is free and open to Ƶ Boulder students, faculty and staff, and community members of Boulder and Broomfield counties. Attendees will receive up to 30 pounds of food in multiple boxes. Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Registration is required. Join the Graduate School for its eighth annualThree Minute Thesis (3MT) Final Competition where competitors will describe their complex research in three minutes, using only one static slide, in front of a panel of judges. The first-place winner will receive $1,500 in prize money and the opportunity to represent Ƶ Boulder at theWestern Association of Graduate Schools competition in Denver in March. The runner-up will receive $750 and the People’s Choice winner will receive $500.

Find your strength while you raise your heart rate and release your stress. No experience necessary. Free to attend and no registration required.

Do you identify as Asian American, Pacific Islander, Native Hawaiian, South Asian, Southeast Asian or East Asian? Come play mahjong, carrom or bring your own game to share with others! All games are open to new or seasoned players.

Grab your Buff OneCard and head over to Fiske Planetarium to enjoy Free Fiske Thursdays! All 7 p.m. shows and star talks are free for Ƶ Boulder students on Thursdays.

Join Pal-entine's Day Gaming! Grab your Player 2 (or more) and enjoy an evening of food and gaming—video games, board games and card games alike!

Friday, Feb. 14

7–9 a.m.Rec Center
The Rec is teaming up with the Environmental Center and Infrastructure and Sustainability to host a station. Stop by the Rec Center plaza (or front lobby if there is inclement weather) for hot beverages, grab-and-go snacks and cool swag.

11 a.m.–1 p.m.BOLD Center
It's important to celebrate you! Join us to write gratitude letters (we’ll mail them!), try a self-compassion exercise, or make DIY valentine cards for yourself and those you love.

Free Friday Power Hour

5–6 p.m.Rec Center, Cycle Studio
The Rec offers a free fitness class each week on Friday from 5 to 6 p.m. No registration required. Try something new this Friday!

7–10 p.m.Rec Center, climbing gym
Bring your "partner in climb" or find a new "belay-tionship" at the climbing gym! Enjoy fun climbing activities and valentine-themed treats. Free to climbing gym members or day pass holders.

7:30 p.m.Imig Music, Chamber Hall (S102)
Internationally acclaimed cellist Jesús Castro-Balbi and College of Music faculty David Korevaar and Andrea Segar will join together in a Valentine’s Day celebration of the beauty in music, featuring works by Beethoven, Bonis, Dutilleux and Ravel.

Join Program Council for a screening of "Moonlight" on the big screen—for free!

Saturday, Feb. 15

4 p.m.Rec Center
Join Intramural Sports for JamFest, our annual 3v3 basketball tournament! Events include the 3v3 (FIBA rules) tournament, a 3-point competition and wheelchair basketball. Complimentary shirts and pizza for the winners! Admission is free for all students with a Buff OneCard. Register through Fusion Play: Feb. 5-13.

Stop by the annual multicultural talent show hosted by the Phi Chapter of Sigma Psi Zeta Sorority. You'll learn about cultural diversity through music and performance.

Whether you're celebrating self-love, friendships, romance or just a love of cookies, this event has everything you need to spread the love.
