Freaky (2020)

Freaky follows Millie Kessler (Kathryn Newton, Blockers, HBO’s Big Little Lies), a senior at Blissfield High who has an unfortunate run-in with her town’s infamous serial killer, The Butcher (Vince Vaughn). When The Butcher attempts to kill Millie with his magical dagger, an ancient curse is cast and they end up switching bodies. With only 24 hours to switch back before she’s stuck in The Butcher’s body forever, Millie must devise a plan with the help of her friends Nyla (Celeste O’Connor, Ghostbusters: Afterlife) and Joshua (Misha Osherovich, The Goldfinch) in order to make things right. This proves to be a challenge as the local police are on a manhunt for The Butcher. To make things even more complicated, the real Butcher is on the hunt for victims at Blissridge High’s Homecoming. In a twisted and bloody take on the classic “body swap” film, Cristopher Landon brings a new razor-sharp edge to horror-comedy and tells a story that will have you laughing through the Halloween season.

Christopher Landon is known for writing and directing Happy Death Day and The Paranormal Activity franchise. Freaky is produced by Jason Blum (Halloween, The Invisible Man).
