Feel Better Fast, every Thursday

This is designed specifically for graduate students. It focuses on mindfulness techniques and coping strategies. You will learn how to calm yourself in stressful situations, take a step back from your thoughts and make decisions that feel right for you. All workshops are free, confidential and unlimited for students. Students do not need to be a CAPS client or complete CAPS paperwork to attend.

The Ƶ Art Museum is seeking graduate students across campus departments and schools interested in the cross-pollination between the arts and other disciplines to participate in their Flash Talks seriesMarch 10 and 17. Last year’s first-place winner, Hannah Glick, placed first at the regional competition of Western Association of Graduate Schools last March. Glick recently presented at the annual meeting of the Council of Graduate Schools and will be a featured Forever Buffat this spring’s Ƶ Next events in New York City and Chicago. This 90-minute session will guide you through writing the academic job packet, including the cover letter, research, teachingand diversity statements. Receive general advice about formatting and drafting these documents as well as what you need to know to tailor them to a specific institution or posting. The postdoc application will also be covered.

Engaged Arts and Humanities Scholars

Academic deadlines

Feb.1: Apply to graduate(master’s and doctoral students)

Master’s and doctoral students must apply online to graduate through on the “apply for graduation” card in order to have your degree awarded in May. Doctoral students must enter your dissertation title as part of the online graduation application. This title will appear on your transcript. You may update the title through your portal until the deadline to cancel/update.

Feb.3: Submit candidacy application(master’s students)

Master’s students must submit to the Graduate School a candidacy application for an advanced degree. Applications must be approved by the academic department before submission.
