Journey Leader Program
Journey Leaders are students who work with new students and families during Fall Welcome. Journey Leaders help:
- Welcome new students and families to campus
- Share tips and advice about adjusting to life at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder
- Answer new families’ questions by sharing personal stories and experiences
As a Journey Leader, you will practice leadership skills such as problem solving, relationship building and public speaking. Applications are due March 1, 2020. Learn more about becoming a Journey Leader.
¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ GOLD
¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ GOLD is free and open to all ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ students. Through these programs, you will practice effective communication, explore personal values and develop other leadership skills. You also will gain personal awareness and growth to help you at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ and beyond.
- The Core Leadership Program (CLP) is a semester-long introductory program. There are weekly seminars devoted to a variety of leadership topics. These include personal values, diversity and different leadership styles. Participants also attend a free leadership retreat to Estes Park and complete a community service project.
- The Applied Leadership Program (ALP) is the second step in your leadership journey. This program consists of weekly discussion-based sessions and a day at the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Challenge Ropes Course. At the end of the semester, participants will develop an in-depth leadership portfolio.
- Workshops in a Box (WIAB) is a free, interactive session for student organizations. Workshops focus on helping your organization grow. Topics include time management, running effective meetings, leadership development and more. These sessions will help your student organization get organized, plan events and retain membership.

Sustainability Buffs Leadership
This program offers skills and knowledge to lead sustainability initiatives and projectsÌýincluding zero waste, sustainable food, renewable energy, social justice and climate action.ÌýApplications for spring 2020 are due Jan. 17. Registered participants will be invited to attend a full-day training and a series of events.ÌýÌý

Eco-Social Justice Leadership
Eco-Social Justice Leadership is a semester-long, interactive training. Students develop skills and innovative tools to advance sustainability and social justice efforts. The program brings awareness to the connections between sustainability and social justice work. In turn, it creates an opportunity for student leadership and action on our campus and beyond.
Participants will:
- Learn facilitation skills and tools
- Meet and learn from practitioners in the field
- Develop creative solutions and practical plans for engaging the community
The semester involves participation in a full-day training and a series of events and networking opportunities. Those who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate.
