Having trouble making dedicated time for your writing? Join other graduate students in this coffee-house style setting dedicated to staying focused and accountable on graduate writing goals. Use all or some of the time allotted. Drop-ins welcome. No RSVP necessary. Free coffee is served.

Designed for graduate students in their first and second years, this weekly accountability seminar helps you set goals, manage your time efficiently, and maintain good writing habits.

For graduate students and postdocs who have a course paper, conference paper or dissertation chapter they would like to publish. Take advantage of this weekly workshop based on the book "" by Wendy Belcher.

Michael Gooseff (INSTAAR, Civil, Environmental, & Architectural Engineering), who teaches a class titled "Initiating Your Academic Career," will lead a presentation on searching for faculty job positions, the interview process, institution types, and more. Lunch will be provided.

Networking is a key skill when looking for a job or internship in the U.S. In this interactive workshop, learn various techniques for starting professional relationships. You will generate a list of people you can connect with today and build a strategy that works for you.
