Ƶ Boulder students enjoy WelcomeFest on Farrand Field.

Zeds Dead will headline the 2019Welcomefest concert taking place Saturday, Aug. 24, on the Business Field.MadeinTYO, Souly Had,Half the Animal, andlocal artists Low Hanging Fruitand Yoko are also slated to perform. The annual Welcomefest concert is part of Fall Welcome and is sponsored by Program Council, which this year partnered with Find Your Grind University to bring the concert to campus.The show starts at 5 p.m.

Admission is free to all Ƶ Boulder students who provide their Buff OneCard at the time of entry, including first years, returning students, graduate studentsand law students. Toronto-based producer/DJs, Dylan Mamid and Zachary Rapp-Roven, aka Zeds Dead, have been at the forefront of the sprawling genre of electronic music since 2009. Since then, the duo has become a staple on the international touring circuit, and today are known for their exploration of a diverse variety of genres that combine aspects of UK garage, house, hip-hip, glitch, drum and bassand more.

MadeinTYO, born Malcolm Davis, is an American rapper, singer and songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia. He rose to prominence in 2016 after the release of his single “Uber Everywhere” and his debut studio album, Sincerely, Tokyo, was released in October 2018.
