Crane work related to the installation of the new pedestrian bridge and pathway connecting Main Campus to areas north of Boulder Creek will include some parking and pedestrian impacts, in addition to a brief closure of Stadium Drive.

The crane, which will be lifting sections of the new pedestrian pathway into place, will be delivered to the site on Friday, Nov. 2, with work beginning that day and wrapping up on Saturday, Nov. 3, weather permitting.

Parking impacts include:

  • On Friday, Nov. 2, a portion of Lot 169 will be closed. Vehicles in the closed area will be towed at the owners’ expense. During this time, if spaces are not available in Lot 169, permit holders may park in the Folsom Parking Garage visitor parking area (Level 1) at no charge.

  • On Saturday, Nov. 3, all of Lot 169 and Lot 390 will be closed. Vehicles left in Lots 169 and 390 after 7 p.m. Friday will be towed at the owners’ expense. During this closure, Lot 169 permit holders may park in the Folsom Parking Garage visitor parking area (Level 1) at no charge.

In addition to the parking impacts, Stadium Drive will be closed on Saturday, Nov. 3, until approximately noon, though access to the Folsom Parking Garage will be maintained at all times.

The Boulder Creek path detour that is currently in place also will be maintained during the crane work, with flaggers directing bike and pedestrian traffic at times.
