Tom Cech leads RNA splicingÌýdance
As part of BioFrontiers Institute Professor John Rinn’s biochemistry class, this week graduate students performed anÌýRNA splicing interpretive danceÌýon the west lawn of the Jennie Smoly Caruthers Biotech Building. ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Nobel Laureate and BioFrontiers Director Tom CechÌý(in the tie-dyeÌýT-shirt) played the starring role of the catalytic G, since he discovered and won the Nobel Prize for it. The balloons represent different parts of genes—purple are exons and green are introns.

A celebration of ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder’s favorite poems
Celebrating poetry's role in our lives, the University Libraries hosted a reading of ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder's favorite poems.ÌýIn its months-long submission period, more than 100 entries of favorite poems were received, and 15 were selected to be read at this event.
