To commence the new academic year, theÌýspace minor program will be hosting an event Monday, Sept.18,ÌýfeaturingÌýScholar in ResidenceÌýRick HiebÌýandÌýa free showÌýat Fiske Planetarium.

Hieb, who recently joined the Aerospace Graduate Program as Scholar in Residence, is a ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ BoulderÌýalumnus and has flown on three shuttle missions and participated in several spacewalks. At the Sept. 18 event, he'll share how he found his pathway to space.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free, and pizza will be provided.
The Grand Challenge space minor has been working with faculty across campus to create new space-related courses, offering undergraduate students in the program a wide range of courses from which to choose.ÌýThe program is also bringing in industry leaders to discuss what they are working on and to network with students—just some of the great things to come for space minor students.Ìý
