A change in Ƶ Boulder Police Department (ƵPD) software platforms will now require a financial speedtype be provided before an event can be approved and staffed.

Recently, ƵPD switched timekeeping systems to the FAMIS system that has been utilized by Facilities Management. This system requires a financial speedtype be entered before the approval can be given for Event Management Forms (EMF) and Alcohol Authorization Forms (AAF). The change is effective immediately.

“Since we require at least 14 days’ notice for event approval, this will mean that we need to have the payment speedtype at the time that the form is submitted as well,” said Carissa Jaquish-Rocha, events and safety services manager for Ƶ Boulder Police Department.

“In the past, we would approve your event, staff the event and then send a bill 10 days later. Now, once we have the speedtype, we approve and staff the event and the funds are transferred after the event occurs,” explained Jaquish-Rocha.

With the switch, the event management bill will look very similar to a bill from Facilities Management.
