The National Weather Service expects a weather system to move into the area, bringing much colder temperatures through Thursday as well as accumulating snow Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon.Ìý
According to , snow may become heavy at times Tuesday evening, as the strong cold front drops south across the area. The northern and central mountains could still see amounts approach a foot over a 2-day period ending early Wednesday. Across the plains, amounts will likely be in the 1 to 5 inch range.
Under extreme weather conditions or general emergency, the campus may close early or not open at all. If it is determined that the campus must be closed, such a decision will normally be made by 5:30 a.m. on the day the campus will be closed.
The notification will be made viaÌý.ÌýOther notification methodsÌýinclude the campus emergency information line (2-INFO), campus social media channels and local broadcast media.
The decision to close the Boulder campus is made independently by key members of ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder administrationÌýand may differ from the decision of other state offices and institutions.
