As a student in the throes of finals this time of year, I would think about Henry Ford who said, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right.â€
As we rush toÌýmeet deadlines during the semester wind-down, we can often get caught up in what’s happening around us, or to us. It is worth stopping, taking a breath and realizing our success is truly up to us and our individual frame of mind.ÌýWe each have a great deal to say about our own success just through our approach and beliefs.Ìý Believe in yourself and your capabilities.
With the end of the fall semester in sight, I want to wish you a safe and relaxing holiday with friends, family and loved ones.
Many of you come from great distances to attend school in Boulder and we appreciate every one of you. Whether you call home someplace near or far, I hope your time away from campus affords time for self-reflection, recharging and refreshing in preparation for a strong spring semester. We look forward to seeing you on campus for the start of classes on Jan. 17.
For those of you graduating this month, my sincerest congratulations. We know that if you graduate with a ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder degree, you have earned it!
And by all means, don’t forget to root the Buffs to victory Dec. 29 in the Alamo Bowl. Go Buffs and happy holidays!

Chancellor
