Last month, we shared that the university is beginning a faculty- and student-driven initiative to evaluate D2L and other learning management systems (LMS). Our goal is to determine whether D2L is the best tool to meet ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder’s teaching, learning and administrative needs or if an alternate LMS would better serve our students and faculty.

The committee’s primary goal is to ensure decisions regarding the future of the campus LMS are informed by the students and the faculty, as they will be most directly impacted by the decision. Last week we launched a short survey to begin the process of gathering campus input. All faculty and graduate assistants who have teaching responsibility should have received an invitation to complete the survey. The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete and will provide the committee with critical information to help us understand what the faculty values and areas for improvement in the primary LMS they use. Your perspective is important to the project team. .
