Spanish Speaking World Week.ÌýThe ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Spanish and Portuguese Department hosts a weeklong festival of the Spanish language, with lectures, readings, and Latin dance classes in both English and Spanish around the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ campus. There are a ton of cool events you can attend now through March 11,Ìýwhether you speak Spanish well, not so well, or not at all! OIT design expert Alaina Beaver will provide you with those presentation skills during one of Norlin’s great Learner’s Lunches in room E113 from noon to 1 p.m. .

Sangeeta Reddy: Fractured Landscapes of the West.
Artist Sangeeta Reddy brings her wonderful exhibit, Fractured Landscapes of the West, to the Macky Gallery through May 29. Reddy’s paintings present beautiful and somewhat abstract interpretations of the dry and colorful Western land. The exhibit is free and open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. .
TRANSforming Gender Conference.ÌýJoin the Gender and Sexuality Center today through March 12Ìýfor the conference based around discussion of the issues and inequalities that the GLBTQ community faces. This conference will highlight transgender issues in particular, with a range of talks and discussions taking place at various times. The conference is free and open to everyone, but you must register before you attend. .

Video Game Tournament: Super Smash Bros. Brawl.ÌýGamers: Assemble. This is your time to shine. If you throw down some serous skill at Super Smash Bros on Nintendo Wii, then now is the time to show it. Sign up for the tournament at The Connection desk at 6 p.m., then get your warm up in by 7 p.m. in The Connection, when the competition begins. There will be prizes for winners, and the entry fee is $5. .
Frozen Dead Guy Days.ÌýWhether you’re new to Colorado or you’ve been here your whole life, you won’t want to miss one of Colorado’s favorite quirky traditions: Nederland’s Frozen Dead Guy Days, which celebrate Nederland local Grandpa Bredo, whose son cryogenically froze him in his tuft shed. Join in with much loved traditions such as coffin races, a costumed polar plunge, live music and the frozen salmon toss. The festival runs through March 13, so grab some friends, head up Boulder canyon, and party with the weirdoes. .

In the Buff spring concert.ÌýYour a capella boys are at it again, breaking out in melodic serenade of pop songs, for their long awaited spring concert. These impressively harmonious singers assemble in Math 100 at 7 p.m., rain or shine and tickets are $3 for students. .
