Mission Statement:
The American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) is an organization which functions at the local, national, and international level to advance women in medicine and improve women’s health. We achieve this by providing and developing leadership, advocacy, education, expertise, mentoring, and strategic alliances. AMWA membership is comprised of physicians, residents, medical students, pre-medical students, healthcare professionals and supporters. AMWA is the oldest multispecialty organization dedicated to advancing women in medicine and improving women’s health.
AMWA at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder:
The ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder branch of AMWA was founded in 2016 and our membership has been growing since. In April 2017, we were honored to recieve TWO of AMWA's most prestigious awards. Former President, Esther Choi, was selected as the AMWA Student of the Year and the branch was awarded the Oustanding Branch Award.
We are excited about how much we have already grown but we are always looking to do more! Our goals for the 2019-2020 school year include expanding membership (among female and male members), creating an empowering and close-knit community and having a greater impact through volunteer opportunities not only within the Boulder community but also in Denver and beyond.
