- At the NVC15 Female Founders Prize Night, many attendees braved the snow while others joined remotely for presentations from five ventures founded and developed by female-identifying entrepreneurs. Each team pitched to a panel of judges, competing for a share of $10K in prize money.

- Alumnus Kevin Martin’s (MechEngr’16) robotics and apparel company unspun has built a machine that 3D-weaves a seamless pair of jeans in just ten minutes, based on technology first prototyped in the Department of Mechanical Engineering’s Senior Design course.
- The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) has named Ƶ Boulder a 2021 Innovation & Economic Prosperity (IEP) awardee. The IEP Innovation Award recognizes exemplary initiatives spurring innovation, entrepreneurship and technology-based economic development.
- A first-of-its-kind study out of Ƶ Boulder’s Leeds School of Business found that entrepreneurs in the business of protecting the environment may be more effective at addressing climate change at a local level than sweeping policies or legacy companies trying to go green.
