Poster Calls for Research & Innovation Week

The , in collaboration with the United Government of Graduate Students (UGGS), invites individuals to participate in poster sessions from all disciplines for . Undergraduate student, graduate student, postdoc, faculty and staff posters are welcome. The deadline to submit abstracts is Friday, September 21

Poster Sessions

  • Monday, October 15th (4:30–5:30 p.m. and 6:30–7:30 p.m.) at the University Memorial Center, as part of Research & Innovation Week's main opening session. 400+ attendees are anticipated. Faculty, students at all levels, staff, industry partners, media, and the general public will be invited.
    • This session is appropriate for posters related to any area covered by ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder research, scholarship and creative works.
    • Posters will be organized according to the week’s overarching themes: Innovate + Research; Cultivate + Health; Imagine + Creativity; Discover + Space; Sustain + Tomorrow.
    • Posters from this session may also be presented in Tuesday or Friday sessions, if the topics covered are appropriate.
  • Tuesday, October 16th (10:30–11 a.m., 12-1 p.m. and 3:30–4 p.m.) at SEEC as part of the .
    • Appropriate for posters covering topics related to the nexus of climate and health.
    • Posters from this session may also be presented in the Monday session.
  • Friday, October 19th (11:55 a.m.–1:10 p.m.) at SEEC as part of the Community Building Colorado-Style Conference.
    • Appropriate for posters covering topics related to Colorado cities, communities, and related innovations in planning, design and management.
    • Posters from this session may also be presented in the Monday session.

Guidelines for Submission

  1. Presenting authors are limited to 1 submission per session.
  2. Presenting authors must be a current ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Affiliate (Undergraduate Student, Graduate Student, Postdoctoral Researcher, Faculty or Staff).
  3. Presenting authors must commit to presenting during at least one poster session described above.
  4. Presenting authors may choose to present at more than one session appropriate to the subject matter.
  5. Poster dimensions should be 48 inches (4 feet) wide by 36 inches (3 feet) high. 

Instructions for Submission

Presenting authors will provide an abstract (max. 150 words) for submission evaluation. Submissions will be evaluated via panel comprised of United Government of Graduate Student members and affiliates. Note: Do not include your title, funding information, any graphics, or authors names in your abstract. References are encouraged, but do not include a reference list.

The deadline for submitting abstracts wasFriday, September 21.

Submitters will receive confirmation of submission and subsequent follow up with additional details about acceptance, session logistics, set-up times, awards and more.

Award Information

The United Government of Graduate Students (UGGS) will select 5 Graduate Student abstracts from the submission portal to receive free printing service for their posters. Additionally, a judge panel comprised of UGGS Assembly members will attend the poster session on October 15th to select three graduate student posters for a Top Poster Award, as well as small monetary prize.
