Welcome to the orchestral conducting program at the University of Colorado College of Music!
We offer both master’s and doctoral degrees in orchestral conducting designed to provide a wide variety of opportunities for the graduate conductor who is interested in an academic or professional conducting career.

Gary Lewis
Director of Orchestras and Professor of Music Gary Lewis conducts the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder Symphony Orchestra and oversees the entire orchestra program at our College of Music. He also leads the graduate program in orchestral conducting, both the master’s and doctoral levels. His former students are currently enjoying success as conductors with professional orchestras and opera companies, university and public school ensembles, and youth orchestras. Previously, Lewis served on the faculties of Texas Tech University, The Ohio State University, The University of Michigan and Abilene Christian University. MORE
