Ben McMillan, a PhD student advised by Associate Professor Nathalie Vriend in the Paul M. Rady Department of Mechanical Engineering, recently took first place in the Gallery of Soft Matter Physics video competition for his research on the internal dynamics of granular flow and its effects on clogging.
Miller was recently honored with a 2022 Distinguished Research Lectureship – one of the highest awards bestowed upon a faculty member at the University of Colorado Boulder by their peers. It honors a faculty member who has been with ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder for at least five years and is widely recognized for a distinguished body of academic or creative achievement and prominence, as well as contributions to the educational and service missions of the university.

The award is given by the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder's Center for Inclusion and Social Change in collaboration with the Dennis Small Cultural Center.
