I began my research in the Taylor Lab as a field crew member in The Boulder Chickadee Study through the Research Experience for Community College Students (RECCS) program. As a current student at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder, and undergraduate researcher in the Taylor Lab, I’m broadly interested in chickadee habitat preferences. Specifically, I identify tree types for nest boxes in the Boulder Chickadee Study, and surrounding vegetation. My research is focused on detecting patterns of nest box occupation among chickadees, and determining whether chickadees prefer to nest in native or non-native trees and surrounding habitat.
