¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Well Brain Study
The college years are a time of remarkable transition: young adults are newly independent, with increased academic and personal responsibility, new peer and romantic relationships, and decreased external structure from parents and family. These transitional experiences are exciting opportunities for growth, but can be acutely stressful – and stressful life events are a potent predictor of mental health challenges.
The Research on Affective Disorders and Development Lab is conducting research on wellness and stress coping in ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ students. We want to understand what makes ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ students resilient or vulnerable to stress, and explore how peer-based programs may foster wellness.
We are recruiting ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Students for this year-long study. If you participate in our research, you will answer a set of electronic surveys over the course of one year. These surveys will be delivered to your email every three months. Some qualifying participants will also be invited to complete an in-person research visit consisting of interviews about life experiences, computer games, and a neuroimaging scan.
All participants are compensated for their time, and all participants may choose to withdraw from the study at any time.
