The students will explore a variety of creative geoscience topics, from modeling the influence of melt water on the ice dynamics of the Greenland ice sheet to surveying airborne microbial communities across different landscapes.</p><p>The 2009-2010 recipients are Robert Bowers, William Colgan, Adina Racoviteanu, Jose Solis, Raina Gough, Nathan Bradley, and Amy Watson. The students represent the following ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ-Boulder departments: Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Geography, Geological Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry, and Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering.</p><p>CIRES awards research fellowships to graduate students every year in order to attract the best talent to ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ-Boulder and offer current and prospective students the opportunity to conduct professional research and publish their work.
