Faculty Advisor: Mark Serreze Title: Meteorological Drivers of Arctic Rain-on-Snow Events and How Climate Change May Influence Associated Risks
Introduction
I am a graduate student (masters program) within the Geography Department here at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder. I expect to graduate Spring 2022. I am interested in non-academia. My research focus is on climate science, and I am primarily concerned with Arctic climate change with Mark Serreze as my advisor. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in May 2013 with a BS in Meteorology. Since then, I have spent the last six years working for various agencies within the federal government. My professional experience ranges from physical science pertaining to a regulatory framework to weather forecasting and operational meteorology. I have not yet decided if I want to pursue my PhD, but I believe my overarching goal for my career is to continue working full-time with the federal government. I am interested in agencies with an attention to atmospheric and climate sciences but that also include aspects on the science policy side as well.
