Nic Tamayo graduated from ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder with a BA in French and BA in Journalism. During his time in the Department of French & Italian, he received several awards in connection with his French studies, including the 2024 Senior Essay Award in French and the 2022 Leonard and Anna Fair Scholarship for Modern Languages. He was also awarded a prestigious Fulbright Fellowship & English Teaching Assistantship for the 2024-2025 cycle. He is currently working at a professional high school in Montpellier, France, where he is developing a deeper multicultural understanding of the French school system and improving his skills in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). In the coming months, he hopes to remain in the classroom by pursuing graduate studies in French language and literature.
