Ìý The System
The Faculty Information System (FIS) was created within the Office of Faculty Affairs in 1994, and transitioned to the Office of Data Analytics in 2019. FIS is the system of record used at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder to track faculty information including key career events, professional activities, research interests and other business-critical data. FIS automatically feeds information to populate ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Experts faculty profiles, which showcases the expertise and capabilities of our diverse faculty.
Ìý The People
FIS is managed and supported by a group of domain and technical experts across the university's academic and businessÌýdivisions.ÌýThe FIS technical group joined ODA in 2019, continuing its work of buildingÌýinnovative applications andÌýfinding creative solutions to support, promote and serve university faculty. They partnerÌýwith the Faculty Data Reporting and Impact group within the Office of Faculty Affairs to fully support FIS' stakeholders, including faculty, department chairs and other academic administrators.
