2019 Summer CYE Awardees Work with Youth in Uganda, Ethiopia and Colorado

The 2019 Children, Youth and Environments Award has been given to three Ƶ Boulder researchers who will spend time this summer working with youth to develop participatory action research projects. The awardees are:
Anna Segur
a Ƶ Boulder staff person in Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering (Program Manager for Research and Outreach Projects)
Anna's Project:working to engage low-income and Latino youth in Boulder to increase equity, diversity and inclusiveness of FC Boulder’s soccer programs.
Mussie Gebremedhin
PhD Graduate student in Civil Engineering - Graduate Teaching Assistant
Mussie's Project: working on a “Youth for Improved Sanitation” project in Ethiopia
Laura DeLuca
a faculty member in the Sewall Residential Academic Program (PhD in Anthropology & Social Innovation)
Laura's Project: working with refugee youth in Uganda
