Deadlines for the Hearst Student Journalism Awards

Hearst seal

 are a respected form of recognition for journalism programs at universities across the country. CMCI is ramping up efforts to submit the best work from throughout our college in every category, from writing and photography to broadcast and multimedia.

The contest is open to undergraduates only, and the work must be published either in print or online (but not a personal portfolio site). If a piece was published by a professional media organization for a class or internship, a letter from an editor acknowledging that fact is required. If a piece has never been published but is worthy of consideration, send it to Gil Asakawa for screening by the editors of the  as part of their "Best of CMCI" category.

Once it is published on the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵI, it can be submitted to Hearst. Only two entries can be submitted by CMCI for each Hearst category.
